Show News

The last few years we have been spending more time with family and a little less time in the show ring, but when we have been able to get to the shows, the dogs have proved time and time again that a champion is make in the whelping box not in the show ring.  We are very proud of our dogs for their Best of Breed wins, Group placements, Puppy group wins, Bred by Exhibitor group placements and obedience and Rally titles and placements.  Fore the sake of time and space here are just a few of our recent brags and some of our favorites from the past.

National Weekend 2008

We couldn't be more proud of our crew this year.  We drove over 3000 miles to Illinois to compete with Kuvasz from all over the country at the Kuvasz Club of America's National Specialty Show.  We took 4 Kuvasz all of which we have bred, 3 are champions and all four have their Canine good Citizen certificates and at least a Rally Novice title.  We also had the great opportunity to bring home a puppy out of the great "Sara" for more information check out Terra's Page.

So here's the results:

CH. Szep Tars Desert Freeze, RA, CGC, TDI

"Flurry" takes Best of Breed and a group 3rd
as well as two Best of Opposite Sex wins

Szep Tars Heart's Cry, RN, CGC

"Piper" takes Best of Winners
as well as two Reserve winners Bitch wins

Ch. Szep Tars Pacific Jewel, RN, CGC

"Juli" came along for the ride and a little Rally.  She took 1st in Rally Adv. A at the National for her 1st leg

Ch. Szep Tars Magnificent Obsession, RN, CGC

"Moses" still has a lot of growing to do.  The National was only his 2nd time out as a champion but he still managed to make the cut 3 out of the 4 days the judge made a cut.  But since he was beat by his older half brother who can complain.

Ashton & Jr. Showmanship

We can't forget to mention some of the best wins for the weekend came from 9 year old Ashton who showed Flurry in Jr. Showmanship at all 5 shows (what a long weekend for kid and dog).  In the end she came home with two first places and two second places.  Ashton and Flurry have become quite the team and will continue to work together for the rest of the year.

Ashton is now the #1 Jr. handler with a Kuvasz **
