What an amazing dog, and an amazing breed. We met
our first Icelandic Sheepdog at a Therapy dog
certification we were attending with Flurry. I
couldn't take my eyes off of this little black dog with
perfect markings and the sweetest most intelligent face
I had ever seen. We had been looking for a smaller
breed for our daughter to show and we were convinced an
Icelandic was just what we needed. After
researching the breed more, researching dogs and
breeders, we decided that in fact this was the breed to
add to our Kuvasz and ended coming back to our own back
yard and the amazingly beautiful dog that fist won us to
the breed a sweet girl by the name of Kol.

The wait for the breeding to take place, the puppies to
be born and finally for our little girl to come home was
almost unbearable for Ashton. Now that Dagny is
here Ashton and her girl are inseparable. Dagny
means New Day in Icelandic and it is truly a new day
here at we look forward to what is to come for both
Dagny and Ashton. We look forward to watching
Dagny grow, and for sharing our experiences in this new
breed, and our brags for the wonderful things to come
both for Dangy and for Ashton who will be starting in
the AKC's miscellaneous class and in Jr. showmanship
when Dagny comes of age.
We owe a BIG thank you to Dagny's breeder Donna
McDermott For allowing this amazing puppy to come be a
part of our lives. She has already stolen our
hearts..
Who is that puppy in the Mirror? Will she play
with me?
